In Silver Bay, MN sits a black sand beach that leads to an island. This beach is unique as it's small black beach sand is unlike anything on the north shore. It's a short hike from the parking lot and easy to access.
On the St. Louis River this stunning park is filled with Rocky waterfalls and rushing rivers. Located near Duluth in Carlton, MN this park is massive with loads of trail systems you can hike and Cross Country ski depending on the time of the year.
7 miles of sandy beach shoreline right on Lake Superior. Located in Duluth, MN the park has a mix of sandy beach, tall grassy dune areas, and forests. At most times of the year if you hike down the beach you are able to have a nearly private beach experience.
A breathtaking 300 foot cliff drop off overlooking Lake Superior. If you are looking to be high above the water with dramatic views this is the place. 3 miles North of Silver Bay and is an amazing spot for sunrises of sunsets.
This 3,400 acer part has it all. Extreme overlooks, rocky beaches, the Baptism river running through it, The High Falls water fall, and 22 miles of hiking trails. Whatever you want to see for your elopement day this park has it!
Duluth, MN has countless "secret beaches" that are home to stunning views of the city, agates, and privacy. You don't have to go too far out of Duluth to experience the beauty and sounds of the lake. I have a couple secret spots depending on what folks needs are.
20 miles south of Grand Marais, Lutsen Resorts is nestled along the shoreline of Lake Superior. The Poplar River flows through the ski area, and down into the lake. Lutsen offers a great spot for lodging as well as stunning views that the North Shore has to offer. You are also close to so much amazing hiking!
It is a 1 mile hike up the rocky hills of Duluth, MN to get to the top of Ely's peak. This spot is for folks who enjoy a more extreme and challenging hike. After the uphill hike you overlooking the St. Louis River and Lake Superior. Ely's Peak has many hidden little gems along this trail. You can check them out here!
The most extreme of these elopement locations, Bean and Bear is not for the faint of heart. Hike 3 miles into the backcountry of Northern Minnesota to access a cliff edge that overlooks two private lakes. With a rugged path down to these lakes where you can swim and swing off the rope swing into these crystal clear lakes.
Located right in Two Harbors, MN on the shores of Lake Superior. This is the perfect spot to elope if you're looking to be close to all the amenities of Two Harbors. Lots of shoreline, forests and you're even close to the Castle Danger Brewery!
