The internal clock in my brain has started to click. With only one year of college left, the dream to be a full-time photographer after college is getting more real. I get to start thinking about exciting things like, where should I live, what will I do, how much money do I want to spend on rent and how will I continue to grow as a human.
I got the opportunity to sit down with Amanda from Jane Cane Photography, she's an incredible photographer in the Duluth area who I really admire. She took the time to share her story and give me all the tips that she wished she would have known when in my shoes. If you get the chance, check out her work! Not only does she create beautiful photos, but Amanda is one of those people who you can be instant best friends with.
After our coffee session a lot happened. I started to "send it" and wedge some space for myself in the world of photography. I have begun the process of fearlessly taking the leap of faith towards making this my legit job. I had scheduled my life with meetings, coffee dates, and realized I have got a lot of learning to do!
The idea of following your dreams can be quite overwhelming, so I took some time to step away and create! My incredible friends Dan and Hanna who are soo dearly in love, offered their time to model for me. Dan and Hanna, just did their thing when giving them prompts and it allowed for one of my favorite shoots to date. We woke up at 5am to get to Park Point Beach before sunrise and got to watch some seagulls play and a ship move around.
This creative break is new fuel. It is getting me fired up for all that I have in store!
