John + Rochelle started their day with a simple hike through Hartley Nature Center together. The day started with a misty On this hike they were able to pick some wild tumble berries and get a little lost, leaving behind any stress around their wedding day. Rochelle's shoes ended up getting a little bloody from the moisture of the wet grass causing a blister. John swooped in to resuce the bloody heel and did some first aid on the trail at the Hartley Nature Center.
The couple made their way to the Park Point Beach house where their ceremony and reception would take space. The Vault rental company and Northland Special Events Planners transformed the Beach House into something spectacular. John + Rochelle had friends come from all over the world for their celebration. Having food that met everyone's dietary needs was extremely important to them. Donuts were a big part of their love story as their first date took place at The Glam Doll Donut donut shop. Pizza Luche and Love Creamery were served for their vegan and gluten free options. Their ceremony took place on the sandy shores of Lake Superior and was officiated by John's uncle.
Their day started overcast and a bit cool. As the day continued on, the sun started to come out and it became the most perfect Duluth day for a wedding. The weather in Duluth for a wedding day can really shift in an instant.
